GORE MOUNTAIN 5k RESULTS & PHOTOS

On Saturday 12/15, 22 competitors made the trek to the Gore Ski Bowl for what has become our season opener, the 5k snowshoe race and 3k fun run. Gore is wonderfully reliable for kicking off the season due to their snowmaking capability – but for the 2nd year in a row there was also enough natural snow to allow the course to go off the wide groomed XC trails and onto some nice singletrack.

Brian and Jessica Northan took first place honors at our first race of the season.

Welcome to December! Two weeks from today the 25th season of the Dion WMAC Snowshoe Series will kick off with the annual Gore Mountain 5k at 2 PM. The Gore Ski Bowl is a good site to start the season due to their snowmaking capability, though we’re certainly hoping to have plenty of natural snow to run on.
